This air purifier is specially designed for the removal of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs). There are thousands of different VOCs produced by daily use products such as paints, varnishes, solvents, adhesives, aerosol sprays, and hobby supplies. These VOCs can cause eye, nose, and throat irritation, headaches, nausea and dizziness. Many are known carcinogens. The Vocarb Air Purifier features an 18 lb. MAC-B carbon filter that is impregnated with special compounds designed for specific VOC problems. The Vocarb comes with three filters: one carbon filter, one HEPA filter that traps 99.97% of particles as small as 0.3 microns, and one pre-filter that traps larger particles to prolong the life of the HEPA and Carbon filters. The Vocarb's cylindrical shape maximizes air flow, and its casters provide for easy maneuverability. Its smart design and its quiet, three speed fan system also ensure that it won't take up much space or make a lot of noise. The Vocarb's 18 gauge steel housing is powder coated and comes in a variety of colors: black, white, sandstone, and pewter.
